The Embedded Microprocessor Benchmark Consortium (EEMBC) develops benchmarks to help system designers select the optimal processors and understand the performance and energy characteristics of their systems. EEMBC has benchmark suites targeting cloud and big data, mobile devices (for Android phones and tablets), networking, ultra-low power microcontrollers, the Internet of Things (IOT), digital media, Java, automotive, and other application areas. EEMBC also has benchmarks for general-purpose performance analysis including CoreMark, MultiBench (multicore), and FPMark (floating-point operations).

EEMBC Technology Center Testing Services

The EEMBC Technology Center (ETC) offers independent benchmark testing services.

ETC’s benchmark testing services are distinct from the score certification services offered to members only. These services allow any company to make EEMBC benchmark testing an integral part of its product development and release process—without tying up internal engineering resources. Using ETC likewise ensures that benchmark runs are performed in strict adherence to EEMBC rules — and backed by the credibility and experience of the consortium’s internal technology center.

Services include porting and running the benchmarks, performance analysis, and preparation of platforms for benchmark score certification (Services are limited to “out-of-the-box” testing). For those new to EEMBC, fees will include a benchmark software license for whichever suites are selected by the user for the testing process.
