Industry-Standard Benchmarks for Embedded Systems
EEMBC, an industry alliance, develops benchmarks to help system designers select the optimal processors and understand the performance and energy characteristics of their systems. EEMBC has benchmark suites targeting cloud and big data, mobile devices (for phones and tablets), networking, ultra-low power microcontrollers, the Internet of Things (IoT), digital media, automotive, and other application areas. EEMBC also has benchmarks for general-purpose performance analysis including CoreMark, MultiBench (multicore), and FPMark (floating-point).

IoT-Connect Benchmark
Tests the combination of microcontroller+RF components (e.g. BlueTooth, ZigBee). Multiple configuration profiles to represent the most popular IoT applications.

Heterogeneous Compute Benchmark
System benchmark addressing performance requirements for applications such as autonomous driving and mobile imaging. This benchmark will support an optimal utilization of the available compute resources, such as the CPU, GPU, and hardware accelerators.

ULPBench-Peripheral Profile
Expands on the energy measurement capabilities of ULPBench-Core profile to include peripheral interaction such as ADC, SPI, and PWM.

ScaleMark

Wearables TechCon
July 18-20, 2016
EEMBC will exhibit at Wearables TechCon, a conference focusing on both the hardware and software behind the coming generation of wearable technology. Classes and tutorials in the TechCon tracks will focus on embedded computing, hardware design, sensors, and physical technology, while tracks in the DevCon portion will focus on programming apps and mastering the SDKs of the next wave of computing devices. During our certification process, the ETC re-establishes the manufacturer's benchmark environment, verifies all settings, rebuilds the executable, and runs CoreMark according to the specific run rules. EEMBC certification ensures that scores are repeatable, accurate, obtained fairly, and derived according to EEMBC's rules.
